I have been a customer of the pavement for over 10 years. It was always good value, good breakfast and happy service. It used to be owned and run by a lady called Alison and her father- and they ran a tight ship. Unfortunately the new owners are running it into the ground! The food is made with no love or care and sometimes literally thrown onto the plate as an inedible mush! Beyond awful! And very sad to see what was an amazing business ruined by people that don't have a clue or seem to even care....

I went to the Pavement for a late breakfast on Sunday morning but I did not like it at all. Service was not friendly and they forgot to bring us coffee and a glass of water (we ordered these in 2 separate occasions and we had to ask for them both times!). I had french toast and it was uneventful. My husbang had a bagel and it was dry and just ok. No interest, no smiles from the staff. All came at just over 10£ but I will go somewhere else next time.

We went there a few months ago and loved it! Went for an evening meal and loved the Bring your own concept. We picked up some fabulous bottles of wine from Sainsbury's and then had a 3 course meal each and with the wine the whole experience came to £15pp. We did use our taste london card though! Well worth it, so much so we're heading back again in June. Just make sure you book a day in advance if using a taste london card. Evening meals are served from 6.30pm.

Have been going here for years. Apparently now open in the evenings. Still a good place to go for that hangover brunch!

the pavement has changed hands and in the past couple of months has gone to being an idyllic family run business to somewhere that I am sad to no longer frequent. Hope that the previous owners are waving their magic wand on their next venture.

I only discovered The Pavement in 2008, but what a find. Small and cosy, and high on taste, quality, service and value. Atmosphere is great too. I don't think you can find a better value all day breakfast.
