The Pavement cafe, Clapham Old Town, London

The Pavement is a funky little cafe tucked on the corner between Clapham Common tube station and Clapham Old Town. It overlooks Clapham Common and the Holy Trinity church. Food is great, reasonably priced and served with a smile.

  • I only discovered The Pavement in 2008, but what a find. Small and cosy, and high on taste, quality, service and value. Atmosphere is great too. I don’t think you can find a better value all day breakfast.

verry expensive for all day breakfast

the pavement has changed hands and in the past couple of months has gone to being an idyllic family run business to somewhere that I am sad to no longer frequent. Hope that the previous owners are waving their magic wand on their next venture.

Have been going here for years. Apparently now open in the evenings. Still a good place to go for that hangover brunch!

We went there a few months ago and loved it! Went for an evening meal and loved the Bring your own concept. We picked up some fabulous bottles of wine from Sainsbury’s and then had a 3 course meal each and with the wine the whole experience came to £15pp. We did use our taste london card though! Well worth it, so much so we’re heading back again in June. Just make sure you book a day in advance if using a taste london card. Evening meals are served from 6.30pm.
