Nick - true, but most menus are now on the internet. I'd be happy to link to them all from one page on LoveClapham.

Cyril - Yes, there are some key distribution companies but particularly bad offending local businesses can have their leaflets back too! :o)

'No junk mail' stickers may not work as well as they should. However, at least they are a starting point and give you a reason to complain to distribution companies and local businesses that don't take notice.

The main course of action will of course be to talk to these companies directly. Not just distribution companies, but groups of local businesses to discuss the problem with them - they can all explain the rules to flyer people.

I am a bit puzzled with the "we can deliver it all back to the companies that distribute them". Is there a single company, a couple? I thought that most of the leaflets came form different sources, local businesses or services paying hourly rates to people to distribute them...

Re- the No Junk Mail sticker, everyone should know that no-one distributing leaflets care about that...

Sounds like a great idea to me.

Always struggled with the dilemma though - you can hardly hang a sign on the door that says 'Only good magazines and tasty restaurants, please'... :)
